Missing 48-year old woman located

 Shortly before 3 PM on Thursday February 8, 2024, the body of an adult deceased person was recovered from the Millstone River in Bowen Park. From tattoos noted on the body, the deceased was identified as the missing 48-year old woman, who was reported missing on February 1, 2024.

Police, Fire and Nanaimo Search and Rescue (NSAR) responded. With NSAR taking the lead on the recovery, the deceased was successfully removed from the river. BC Coroners Service attended and will continue with their investigation.
