Just before 1:30 a.m., on March 3, 2024, Burnaby RCMP frontline officers responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision on Imperial Street just east of Willingdon Avenue. A vehicle, occupied by a driver and two passengers, was travelling eastbound on Imperial Avenue when it struck a parked semi truck.

One passenger has been transported to the hospital with serious injuries and is in critical condition. A second passenger was brought to hospital with minor injuries.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or may have video in the area of Imperial Street and Willingdon Avenue between 1:00 a.m. and 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, March 3, is asked to contact Burnaby RCMP at 604-646-9999 and quote file 2024-7300.
