A heavy police presence was visible in the 1100 block of Rogers Way, Monday evening, where the arrest of a suspect occurred.

Around 5:30 p.m. on June 20, 2022 the Kamloops RCMP Detachment’s Targeted Enforcement Unit (TEU), with the assistance of Southeast District Critical Incident Program Emergency Response Team (ERT), were in the Lower Aberdeen area in collaboration with the Manitoba RCMP Major Crime Unit as part of an ongoing investigation. One man was arrested without incident and held in custody.

Using the specialized skills of ERT and TEU helps keep the arrest safer for everyone involved as well as the public and those related in the investigation, said Corporal Dana Napier Kamloops RCMP.
