Police seeking witnesses into incident near Puntledge River

The RCMP in the Comox Valley are actively investigating an allegation of a sexual assault that took place on September 2, 2023, near a rope swing on the Puntledge River in Courtenay, BC.

Police are looking for anyone who were travelling the river in that area between 3:00 pm and 10:00 pm during that day as they may have crucial information about this incident. Due to the sensitive nature of this investigation, no further details can be released at this time.
